Junior Order of Merit
Conditions of Competition.
- The above named competition is an aggregation of points awarded as undernoted for placings in any five out of nine events as specified below.
- There is no entry fee and no form of registration is required.
- The points are determined from the scratch score.
- Entrants require to be amateur male golfers who are members of a recognised golf club in the North District.
- The competition is open only to boys under 16 and 14 on 1st January 2010, that is two categories.
- Points will be assigned, ignoring competitors not members of a North District club, in each category as follows:-
1st 21, 2nd 17, 3rd 14, 4th 12, 5th 10, 6th 8, 7th 6, 8th 4 and 9th 2.
- Prize vouchers will be awarded to the leading three players in each group, the amounts being £65, £50 and £40 in each case.
- Ties will be determined by the next best, sixth score and if there is still a tie, by the authorised representative of the North District at his sole discretion.
- The specified events are as follows:-
1. Thursday 8th April 2010 Fortrose & Rosemarkie Junior Open
2. Sunday 18th April 2010 Royal Dornoch Junior Open
3. Sunday 25th April 2010 North of Scotland, HR Spence Trophy, Torvean
4. Sunday 4th July 2010 North District, Bain Trophy, Alness
5. Tuesday 13th July 2010 Inverness Junior Open
6. Thursday 15th July 2010 Nairn Junior Open
7. Sunday 25th July 2010 Loch Ness Junior Open
8. Thursday 12th August 2010 Moray Junior Open
9. 18th to 21st October North of Scotland Junior Matchplay (Qualifying rounds) Forres.
10. After each of the events the running points total will be posted on the North District website.
11. A prize giving ceremony will take place immediately after the last event.The North District requests the attendance of those who have won prizes.
12. The competition is controlled by the North District, whose Executive will determine all disputes and whose decision is final.
